Charlie Gunningham

Over the past two decades I’ve lead various digital organisations and transformed businesses in tough, competitive environments.

In 2017, I was appointed as one of 2 full-time Commercialisation Advisers (Accelerating Commercialisation) in WA (there are 22 in the country) for the Department of Industry, Innovation & Science, as part of the Entrepreneur’s Programme.

Do you have a pre-revenue innovative solution to a market problem? Have you developed a working MVP or prototype? Are you ready to commercialise your product, but need some extra advice and funding to get it to market?

Bringing innovative solutions to market is my passion, and now I get to do this full time, with advice and possible matching federal grants of up to $1 million for eligible organisations.

I also sit on the boards of the RISE Network and the Perth Symphony Orchestra, both wonderful not-for-profits doing great work in our local commuities in their own special ways.

Before my current role, I was CEO of Business News, EGM of reiwa.com and cofounder & MD of aussiehome.com. A few years before that, I topped the UWA MBA program, lectured in eBusiness in Perth, Singapore, Jakarta and Shanghai, and taught Economics & Business in Singapore and the UK.

Vee Pendergrast

Vee is the Co-founder and Director of Stirfire Studios, a Perth based games studio. Since then, Vee and her team have been instrumental in developing games for desktop, console and Virtual Reality, as well as non- gaming related VR experiences and software.

Throughout the journey of building her company, Vee has shown tenacity and determination in bringing her vision of a Perth based gaming company developing products for the global gaming industry, to fruition. Her deep passion and commitment to not only delivering exceptional and unique products is surpassed only by her unwavering vocal call for recognition and equality for members of the LGBTIQA community. Vee is a passionate champion of diversity of thought and inclusiveness. This has been further demonstrated by her work in creating a games industry network for WA – one that can deliver globally competitive games, VR and AR products.
